On a camera there are three required settings to create a photo; aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. Similarly, a still requires three ingredients; water, barley, and yeast. How photographers manipulate the settings affects how their still life picture looks. How distillers manipulate the ingredients affects how their whisky tastes. My piece represents the blending of the skills of the photographer with the skills of the master distiller by using still life photos of single malt scotch whiskies.
